Independent assessment

Know where you really stand - before you decide.

An independent assessment evaluates your SAP, data or AI landscape neutrally and on the facts - without being tied to the system, the contract or the service provider. The result is a solid basis for decisions: finding, effort, roadmap.

In three questions

What would you like assessed?

Briefly frame your request - we'll show you what an assessment would look like, and you go straight into a conversation.

Status check

Do you know what time it is?

Grown systems, scattered data, AI pressure from every side: at some point even a good team can no longer read its own clock. That is not a weakness - that is complexity. We look at it together with you and tell you what time it is.

The status-check workshop

Entry from EUR 30,000. An interdisciplinary expert team, assembled specifically for your topic and goal - AI readiness, architecture, system health or delivery performance. The outcome: an honest set of findings, prioritised action areas and a roadmap sketch you can decide on.

How an assessment works

A framework that carries any subject.

The subject changes, the approach stays: the same method carries a grown SAP landscape as much as a modern data platform or an AI system. That makes the assessment tailored and yet repeatable - and comparable for you.

Dimensions

We break the subject into checkable dimensions - depending on the case, system version, data and master data, architecture, governance or security. Nothing gets blended together.

Assessment per dimension

Every dimension by the same pattern: finding, recommendation, effort and expected impact - with a status and an effort level. Traceable, not by gut feeling.

Roadmap in horizons

In the end a clear order of play: what needs fixing immediately, what to keep monitoring and where the architecture should be fundamentally rethought.

Typical occasions: a neutral second opinion on a provider's delivery performance, a system health check of your SAP landscape, determining maturity and AI readiness, preparing an upgrade or migration, readiness for SAP Business Data Cloud, or questions around cost, security and governance.

Two ways in

Assessed - or worked out together.

Not every organisation needs a formal assessment first. You can approach the topic in two ways - both create clarity about where you stand.

The assessment

We evaluate from the outside, neutrally and on the facts. You receive a finding, effort and a roadmap - a checked basis for decisions, independent of operation and contract.

The workshop

We work out the status assessment together with your team. In facilitated sessions a shared picture of the situation emerges, along with first priorities and a plan - a low-friction entry that takes people along from the start.

Your contacts

Strategic perspective meets technical depth.

A solid assessment combines two strengths: the neutral view of the overall situation - and the technical substance that carries it.

Strategic perspective

Oliver Schwenteck

Data & Technology Executive and an experienced strategist for complex transformations. He owns perspective, target state and decision-readiness - the neutral view of the overall situation.

Technical depth

Yavuz Yıldız

Founder and Solution Architect with deep SAP and architecture experience. He brings the technical substance - from the data landscape down to HANA level, where an assessment becomes solid.

Common questions

Briefly explained.

What is an independent assessment?

A neutral, fact-based assessment of your SAP, data or AI landscape across the relevant dimensions - each with a finding, recommendation, effort and expected impact. The result is a solid basis for decisions plus a roadmap, not a sales pitch.

What is an independent SAP assessment?

A neutral, fact-based evaluation of your SAP landscape by an interdisciplinary assessor team with no stake in the system, the contract or the provider - architecture, data, security and processes are each judged by the relevant discipline rather than through a single lens. Across verifiable dimensions, every area receives a finding with recommendation, effort and impact - brought together in a roadmap. The result is a basis for decisions that holds up in front of executive management, supervisory bodies and procurement.

What does a system health check of an SAP landscape cover?

The actual state behind day-to-day operations: architecture and sprawl, data quality and interfaces, performance, security and authorisations, running costs, and how future-proof the stack is - for instance with a view to upcoming upgrades or the path towards SAP Business Data Cloud. At the end you know what is stable, what carries risk and what to address first.

What is an AI readiness assessment?

The status check before deploying AI: are data, systems, governance and organisation ready for AI initiatives to hold - or would AI land on chaos? We determine maturity across the relevant dimensions, name the gaps to target maturity and derive the order in which to close them. That protects you from the most expensive mistake: the AI project that fails before it starts.

How do you evaluate a provider's delivery performance?

With facts rather than status slides: delivered quality against what was agreed, schedule reliability and effort trends, architecture decisions and their follow-on costs, knowledge transfer and dependencies. As a neutral second opinion this creates a factual basis for the conversation with your provider - or a solid foundation for a reset. Discreet, fair and without a blame reflex: this is about steerability, not settling scores.

What is a BDC readiness check?

The assessment applied to the question of how well your existing SAP data world is set up for the path to SAP Business Data Cloud - a sober check of data quality, modelling and architecture before any migration steps are decided.

What does an independent assessment cost?

The entry point is clearly defined: a joint status-check workshop starting at EUR 30,000, run by an interdisciplinary expert team assembled specifically for your topic - from AI readiness assessment to architecture review. You come away with findings, prioritised action areas and a roadmap sketch. For a subsequent full assessment you receive a clearly defined proposal with scope, approach and effort after the workshop - you decide then.

How long does a status check take?

From a compact workshop entry with immediately usable results to a full assessment with findings, effort estimate and roadmap - the scope follows the object and the question at hand. What matters to us is proportionality: as deep as needed for a sound decision, not as long as possible.

How neutral is the assessment if Xient also implements?

The assessment is set up as a standalone service and pinned to facts - finding, effort, impact. Whether a subsequent implementation happens with us, with your existing provider or in-house is your decision. It is precisely this separation that makes the result solid.
