The Xient Radar
Curated dates in AI, space and AI security - with an editorial read for decision-makers. Learn more
The Xient Radar grew out of our own travel planning: the conferences, trade fairs and competitions in AI, space and AI security that we track ourselves for 2026 and 2027 - curated from the perspective of technology decision-makers, not event organizers.
Every entry carries an editorial read: what the event is about, who the trip pays off for, and what you can settle on site. Confirmed dates are checked against organizer sources, expected ones are marked as such - and the Xient priority is our editorial weighting, openly labeled as opinion.
We publish the radar because orientation comes before decisions - in your conference calendar just as in your system landscape. Know where you stand. Then decide.

June 2026

Application deadline is August 2, with the ceremony in Düsseldorf on November 23. What sets this prize apart from most startup competitions: it rewards businesses that actually work. If you build in NRW, the visibility with the state bank and its network is worth more than the prize money.

For European security leaders this week is an early-warning system: what shows up in the Vegas briefings tends to reach your threat landscape six to twelve months later. Can't travel? The briefing abstracts are published ahead of time and are free, mandatory reading.
Mehr Details
The highest-leverage entry point into Latin America - but only with a local partner. Without Portuguese, most of the potential stays on the table.
Mehr Details
If you only want to watch the US market, do it twice over: the proceedings are openly available, and the European sister event SmallSat Europe in Amsterdam covers your networking needs on this side of the Atlantic.
Mehr Details
The real question you can answer here: does your offering hold up in a Nordic context? Investor density delivers honest feedback - before the big bets are placed in Helsinki in November.
September 2026
Mehr Details
If you think Earth observation and crisis intelligence commercially, ESTEC is the shortest route into the programs - a field where Xient builds with Resilience Intelligence as well.
Mehr Details
Want to know whether your workloads fit European infrastructure? Everyone you need to ask is in one room. Xient computes on LUMI itself - the access calls are more approachable than their reputation suggests.
Mehr Details
For technology leaders outside marketing, the value is observational: no event shows faster how quickly AI features in standard software become commodity.
Mehr Details
This event answers capital questions, not product questions. If you're raising in the next twelve months, this is where you stress-test your story and your numbers.
Mehr Details
The program matters less than the signal: Germany's space budget lines and political priorities become visible on this day - months before they show up in procurement.
October 2026
Mehr Details
The Antalya edition doubles as a showcase for Türkiye's rising space program - a rare vantage point on the market between Europe and Asia.
Mehr Details
Nowhere else does the German-speaking SAP community talk this openly about what actually works - and what doesn't: S/4 and cloud reality, BTP, licensing, business AI in production. For decision-makers it's the most honest corrective to vendor roadmaps; the agenda lands in mid-August. If you leave those three days with more questions about your own landscape than answers, you're in good company - that's exactly what an independent assessment is for. And 2026 marks a first: the congress meets in Cologne, the city where Xient was founded in 2011. We'll be there.
Mehr Details
For Western European players it's an efficient gateway to Romanian engineering talent and CEE investors - and ticket prices keep the experiment cheap.
Mehr Details
If you want NIS2 implementation and EU security politics first-hand, this is the room. What gets debated in The Hague sets the bar that security architectures will be measured against.
Mehr Details
The rebrand signals ambition beyond Italy - 2026 is the first paid edition, with dedicated ticket tiers for startups and investors. Worth a look if you're scouting the Southern European enterprise market.
Mehr Details
You'll get an honest market overview - but not an answer to what belongs in your own stack. That answer comes from your own landscape, not from a stage.
Mehr Details
A practitioners' format rather than a stage show: two days of first-hand reports from companies such as Audi, Siemens, METRO Markets and E.ON, plus a workshop day on October 6. If you want to see how data contracts, governance and agentic analytics work beyond the slides, this is the place - and if you would like a sober read on your own data landscape first: data and analytics at Xient. Worth noting: same week and same city as the DSAG annual congress.
Mehr Details
For NRW companies this is the fixed date in the state calendar: the short line to the ministry, NRW.BANK and the state clusters - and the stage where the Innovation Award is handed over.
Mehr Details
Japanese procurement runs on long-term relationships - CEATEC is where you start them, not where you close them.
Mehr Details
If Scandinavian corporates are on your customer map, this is the calmer precursor to Slush - more conversation, less crowd.
Mehr Details
The crowd is implementation-minded - less model talk, more data quality and integration, the actual bottleneck of most AI initiatives.
Mehr Details
Relevant if Spanish-speaking markets are on your roadmap - the LatAm bridge is real, not marketing.
Mehr Details
Speakers include Microsoft, PwC and Endeavor leadership: a compact one-day status report on the Turkish tech ecosystem.
Mehr Details
If you want to see how the market answers those regulatory demands technically, the entire supply side is in three halls - ready to be mirrored against your own security posture.
November 2026
Mehr Details
The insight is rarely on stage - it's in the density. Nowhere else in Europe can you stack more investor, partner and press meetings into three days. Arrive without a schedule and you're paying a lot of money for atmosphere.
Mehr Details
For European observers it's primarily a status report on China's space industrialization; deal-making is constrained by export-control reality.
Mehr Details
A compact one-day summit with an unusually broad cross-section of decision-makers: from Swisscom and Zurich Insurance to the Head of Space Command of the Swiss Armed Forces, backed by partners such as Innosuisse and the Canton of Zurich. Governance and responsible deployment are a programme line here, not a footnote - our terrain: AI governance at Xient.
Mehr Details
For Earth-observation and situational-awareness topics it's the densest contact point of the year - a field where Xient itself builds with Resilience Intelligence.
Mehr Details
Slush answers one question: does your equity story hold up in international comparison? The answer is harsher and more honest than any feedback at home. Without curated meetings booked in advance, it's expensive back-patting.
Mehr Details
Expect the competition to reopen to all in 2027. The bottleneck isn't the form - it's the nomination through an eligible institution. If you plan to enter, line that up now.
Mehr Details
Relevant even if you never board the plane. Whether your own landscape can keep up with those cycles isn't a cloud question - it's an architecture question.
December 2026
Mehr Details
Formats and names are in flux - if you follow the EU space programs, watch the EUSPA channels rather than booking anything yet.
Mehr Details
The Paris satellite makes NeurIPS reachable for European teams without a long-haul flight for the first time - the most efficient option for recruiting and research contacts. If you only need the content: papers and posters are open anyway.
Mehr Details
For CISOs it's the chance to absorb the state of offensive research without a US trip - and to hear it before it reaches the mainstream conferences.
Mehr Details
Indispensable if you do business in the Gulf; an observation year for everyone else. Judge the new venue and date before committing budget.
Mehr Details
Competitions are the field's most honest benchmark format: well-defined tasks, fair comparisons, reproducible results. If you want to know where LLM and agent evaluation truly stands methodically, this is the state of the art before the marketing. Individual competitions remain open into the autumn; the finals run as workshops in Sydney. Applied research with substance is our field too: research and innovation at Xient.
Mehr Details
Considerably more compact than Amsterdam, but with direct access to regional sovereign funds and ministries. Go for the capital, not the content.
Mehr Details
For companies the Congress is not a sales venue, but it is an honest compass: whatever security and privacy topics are debated here reliably reach the public debate the following year. Tickets sell out; talks are streamed and archived.
January 2027
Mehr Details
The real value is less the prize money than the visibility: the TOP-26 booklet circulates through the state's VC offices and corporate innovation departments - and the Bielefeld finale delivers stage and audience in one.
Mehr Details
For European B2B players the show matters less than the calendar effect: half the world's press and plenty of board members are already there. Land meetings in Vegas and you save three separate trips.
Mehr Details
The guest list is the product - shareholder and board level in a density no open format offers. If you get invited, you go.
Mehr Details
A good way to get to know the Estonian e-government ecosystem without waiting for the Latitude59 crowds in May.
February 2027
Mehr Details
Worth attaching to London client meetings; rarely worth a dedicated trip on its own.
Mehr Details
If you're serious about the Saudi market there's no way around LEAP - decision paths run through state programs and local partners, and both are on the show floor.
Mehr Details
For data and AI vendors the energy sector is a market with genuine regulatory pressure - redispatch, smart metering, grid data - and correspondingly concrete projects. Set your utility meetings before you travel; they rarely happen by accident on site.
Mehr Details
The February slot makes Cannes the natural season opener for European enterprise AI; if you're building French business, the corporate delegations are all here at once.
Mehr Details
The value is the altitude of the conversations: these are the people who write cyber policy, not the ones who implement it - which makes the signals early.
Mehr Details
Primarily interesting for capital and government contacts in the Gulf - for content, Lisbon offers more.
March 2027
Mehr Details
For AI infrastructure Barcelona now matters almost as much as for telco: edge, connectivity and devices decide where models will actually run.
Mehr Details
Münster shows the German data Mittelstand without makeup: fewer shows, more field reports - exactly the level where AI initiatives actually get decided.
Mehr Details
For observers of the post-Brexit British space market, this is the remaining must-attend.
Mehr Details
The value is the cross-section: if you want to see trends outside your own industry, you'll see them here one or two years before the trade fairs.
Mehr Details
If you're after technical altitude - clean core, integration strategy, HANA and BTP roadmaps - this beats the annual congress; the crowd is architect-heavy and the discussions correspondingly concrete. Expect March or April; the announcement usually lands the autumn before.
Mehr Details
The keynote sets the pace; the real decision happens at home. Which of the announced platforms your organization can actually carry is a question about your starting position, not about the catalog.
Mehr Details
This is where European sovereignty rhetoric turns into actual compute capacity. Xient uses this infrastructure itself - the entry barriers are lower than their reputation.
Mehr Details
For NRW vendors it's the shortest route to live feedback from Mittelstand buyers; as a visitor, one day is enough to gauge the maturity of the state's ecosystem.
Mehr Details
Relevant if your customers buy connectivity: pricing and capacity for the year are effectively negotiated here.
Mehr Details
For DACH recruiting and early talent pipelines, one of the best price-performance ratios in the calendar.
April 2027
Mehr Details
The place where European KRITIS regulation and public-sector practice actually meet in one venue. If you carry OT or critical-infrastructure responsibility, the audience fits better than anywhere this side of it-sa.
Mehr Details
For European vendors it only makes sense with a US partner or a delegation slot; the conversations are strategic, not technical.
Mehr Details
More compact and more investor-dense than Rio - the more efficient choice for a first Brazil test.
Mehr Details
Every year the fair shows what would be technically possible - the more expensive question is what of it your own organization can carry. An independent assessment answers that before the investment, not after.
Mehr Details
If you want to see the entire global security market once a year, this is it - including the exercise of deciding which of the hundreds of vendor messages actually touch your problem.
Mehr Details
Same machine as Lisbon, half the price, different crowd - sensible as the second step after a Latin America decision, not the first.
May 2027
Mehr Details
Instructive as a contrast program: no place demonstrates faster how attention economics work. For substance-driven B2B, the leverage stays limited.
Mehr Details
Space security is one of the few markets where Europe sets the agenda - CYSAT is its family reunion. Xient works the civilian side of the same field with Resilience Intelligence: situational awareness from space data. A talk here positions a vendor precisely in the space-security niche.
Mehr Details
The subsidy makes Tokyo the most affordable Asia experiment in the calendar; take the global matching platform seriously and fill it in early. The May slot barely collides with the European conference calendar.
Mehr Details
Still finding its shape. The 2027 edition will show whether the format establishes itself next to Hannover Messe and it-sa - until then: visit, evaluate, don't book.
Mehr Details
Only worthwhile with a North America strategy; the format is still settling into its new home.
Mehr Details
It fills a real gap: US contacts without the transatlantic flight, plus the European supply chain in one place.
Mehr Details
Estonia remains the laboratory for digital administration; if GovTech or digital identity is on your roadmap, this is where you get the reality check.
Mehr Details
Worth it when the EMEA decisions of the US platforms touch your business - the people who make them are local.
June 2027
Mehr Details
If you buy or plan AI infrastructure, you'll see the vendors' roadmaps here months before the datasheets.
Mehr Details
The UK crowd buys differently than the German one - if you serve both markets you need both fairs; if you must choose, choose by customer base.
Mehr Details
The side events are often richer than the main program - plan the fringe first, the keynotes second.
Mehr Details
Usable as a mood reading of the Italian digital market; barely usable for a B2B pipeline.
Mehr Details
Le Bourget sets the whole industry's agenda in odd years; the expanding space area now carries the visit even for pure space interests.
Mehr Details
Few formats put industrial Mittelstand and startups together this directly; the conversations are more concrete than at the big fairs.
Mehr Details
The corporate challenges are the actual entry route: win one and you get visibility plus a corporate contact in a single move - the rest is volume.
Mehr Details
Strong as part of a Netherlands week; standing alone it's a solid festival rather than a must.
Mehr Details
Only relevant with existing China business; as an observation post, Barcelona suffices.
July 2027
Mehr Details
The Ruhr region is rebuilding itself as a tech location, and ruhrSUMMIT is where you can verify that claim annually. Xient, with its Gelsenkirchen site, is part of this ecosystem.
Mehr Details
For everyone who treats AI governance as a craft rather than a compliance duty, the densest program of the year.
Mehr Details
Japan's space sector is opening up commercially - SPACETIDE is the access point to JAXA programs and the new private players, in a format of European proportions.
Mehr Details
Agentic AI and digital sovereignty are the program here, not buzzwords - and both run into the void without governance that holds. Free admission makes the date risk-free.
October 2027
Mehr Details
For SAP-running organizations this is the fixed annual date - plan early once the DSAG confirms. Until then, the pattern holds: three days, early to mid October.
Mehr Details
A fixed series on our radar: data2day is a practitioners' format for data teams we track permanently. As soon as the organiser announces date and venue for 2027, this entry will be confirmed.
Confirmed dates (●) checked against organizer sources on August 27, 2026; dates marked ○ follow prior-year patterns - verify briefly before booking travel. The priority rating (A/B/C) is Xient's editorial read on relevance for technology decision-makers, not a judgment of the organizers. Map geometry: Natural Earth (public domain).
Attending one of these events? Let's meet on site - drop us a short note and we'll set it up. And if you're an organizer looking for a speaker on SAP, data, AI or AI governance: talk to us directly.
