From global complexity to a steerable course - information strategy for a global group

The larger an organisation, the more easily the common thread is lost. Our task was to find it again - and make it visible to everyone.

The situation

A world-leading professional-services firm wanted to become steerable across all countries and functions and to base decisions on data. The starting point was complex: more than 160 legal entities, over 250,000 people, a project volume of more than €2 million - and no shared target picture.

How we helped

In just eight months, a global, end-to-end information strategy took shape, embedded in the worldwide IT programme. The core was not a toolkit of methods, but a dialogue: in a structured eco-system, we brought business units, regions and IT to one table to clarify needs and goals beyond line interests.

What remained

A robust target picture, a sound implementation strategy - and a new, accepted project culture. Transparency and decision-readiness rose, governance gained clear roles and bodies, and alignment loops decreased. This created the foundation for a scalable BI and analytics architecture.
