The situation

thyssenkrupp, with sites in several countries, wanted to grant its people access only to the data of specific entities or sales organisations - through a simple, transparent interface. A requirement the SAP standard did not cover.

How we helped

We first checked feasibility, chose the right approach from several options - a Business Add-In (BAdI) with an embedded control table - and implemented everything in our Xient Solution Factory, our unit for tailor-made customer solutions, entirely through our own consultants.

What remained

The solution was ready in a short time and without expensive external specialists. In this area, no more authorisation objects need maintaining, existing assets such as queries stay untouched - and per assignment the team saves at least half a working day. Low-maintenance, transparent, noticeable in everyday work.
