What Hannover Messe really is

Hannover Messe is the world's leading industrial trade fair - and in recent years the place where "industrial AI" gets defined beyond the slides. Its character is unique: machine builders stand next to hyperscalers, robotics next to energy technology, and the question is never whether a technology impresses, but whether it fits a factory floor - with everything that entails: safety, standards, works councils, legacy equipment.

Who meets whom

Manufacturing decision-makers in full breadth: COO and plant-manager level, production IT, automation engineers, plus political delegations and vendors from sensors to cloud. It is the one date where IT and OT literally share a booth.

Who should make the trip

Anyone responsible for digitalization with a factory dimension - from retrofit questions to how production data feeds decisions. And anyone who wants to check which industrial-AI promises already have references and which are still booth construction.

Who probably should not

Without a link to manufacturing or energy, the fair swallows you: it is vast, and its strength - proximity to physical industry - is simply not relevant for pure software or services topics.

How we read Hannover Messe

For us it is the annual reality check on what industrial narratives must be translated into architecture. Whether your own system landscape can carry such plans is what the Enterprise Architecture Review shows.
