The DSAG annual congress is the largest gathering of SAP users in the German-speaking world - and its real value lies in the direction of speech: this is not the vendor presenting to customers, this is the user base talking about the vendor. The DSAG board keynotes are the most honest barometer of sentiment in the SAP installed base there is: the criticism voiced on licensing, cloud strategy or release policy shows up in member companies' board papers weeks later.
SAP leaders from the German Mittelstand and large enterprises in a density found nowhere else: CIO level, platform leads, module owners - plus SAP itself in listening mode and the entire partner ecosystem. If you want to know what companies really think about S/4 moves, clean core or the Business Data Cloud, you hear it here in the hallway, unfiltered.
Anyone taking SAP decisions with long commitments in the coming years - migration, operating model, licensing. There is no faster way to calibrate your own position against the rest of the market.
If you do not run an SAP landscape, or you are after pure AI and startup energy, other dates on this radar will serve you better - the congress is deliberately a user family gathering, not an innovation show.
We are members, and we mostly listen: today's worries of the user base are tomorrow's review mandates. What your own SAP estate can actually carry is what we assess soberly in the SAP System Health Check.
