Guest article at eGovernment: how Europe must rethink AI for crisis response

eGovernment (Vogel Communications Group), the established German publication for public-sector digitalization, has published a guest article by our founder and CEO Yavuz Yildiz in its Practice & Innovation section: "Wie Europa KI für den Krisenfall neu denken muss" (how Europe must rethink AI for crisis response).

The core thesis: digital sovereignty is usually debated as a cloud question - a real crisis shows it is at least as much a question of decision architecture. When flooding, a power outage or a cyberattack hits several authorities at once, what matters is not the number of data sources but the ability to derive an assessment someone can take responsibility for, in time. The article lays out the five capabilities of a sovereign intelligence layer - data fusion, agentic orchestration, provenance and uncertainty, human-in-the-loop control, and sovereign validation on European computing infrastructure - and shows how Xient Resilience Intelligence builds that layer: rooted in the European AEGIS concept, scientifically accompanied from the environment of Forschungszentrum Jülich, validated with access to LUMI and EuroHPC.
