What data2day really is

data2day is the hands-on format of Germany's data scene: run by heise and dpunkt for over a decade, deliberately without glamour. Data teams from real companies report how it actually went - detours included. Topics follow what teams genuinely wrestle with: data quality and data contracts, lakehouse architectures, and increasingly how agentic systems and analytics come together.

Who meets whom

The working level of the data world: data engineers, analytics leads, platform teams - the people who run the systems others give keynotes about. Conversations are accordingly direct.

Who should make the trip

Data and analytics leaders facing decisions on stack, standards and team setup - and executives who want to mirror their own data strategy against the engine rooms of other companies.

Who probably should not

If you are after C-level networking or big market overviews, this is the wrong place: data2day is small, technical and honest - that is its entire point.

How we read data2day

What is told here as workshop reports are the patterns we find in our assessments: data quality beats tool choice. Where your own house stands: Data and analytics at Xient.
